Millport--- Cumbrae
Cumbrae is an island of the Ayrshire coast. Famous for the popular cycle round the island.
With stop at the lemonade factory half way round. Sadly it has gone.
There are three cycle hire shops, with several hundred bicycles between them.
You get the ferry from Largs. Does not cost much and it`s only a short journey.
The town is four miles south from the Cal Mac ferry slipway. So you have to get
the bus to town.
There are a few bars and place to eat.
The Cathedral of the Isles of the Scottish Episcopal Church, completed in 1851 and which seats only 100 people, is the smallest cathedral in Great Britain. It may also the smallest cathedral in Europe.

Winter`s trip Jan 2016
We decided to take a trip over to Millport. My wife had not returned since her childhood. It was fun tracing her memories. After a smooth crossing we were met by the local transport which takes us in to the town.
